PLA Black - 1.75mm Filament 1kg Spool
PLA, also known as Polylactic Acid, is a biodegrade thermoplastic. Synthesized from organic sugars, PLA has become the most common material for 3D filaments due to its eco-friendliness and ease of use. PLA maintains several desirable properties for 3D printing such as a low melting temperature and glass transition temperature. As a result, PLA offers a high level of detail and exceptional print quality.
UltiBots is proud to offer top quality 3D printing filaments in ABS, PLA, TPU, and PETG that are made in the USA! Our partner has been extruding plastics for numerous industries for over 25 years. They are a leading USA manufacturer of 3D printing filaments. With proven manufacturing systems and processes in place, they guarantee quality filament with tight tolerances. Our filament is manufactured with laser-controlled precision, using the highest quality raw materials and have been extensively tested by 3D printing experts worldwide.

PLA is kind of the 'white bread' of the 3D printing world, so it's at times difficult to find positives worthy of singing praises - most people look more for problems to rail against. In this case, I've had nothing but smooth, reliable performance from the black PLA provided by Ultibots. Inter-layer adhesion is solid at some fairly low printing temps, and part rigidity is actually a bit higher than expected, without becoming overly-brittle.
Easy to work with, consistent behavior, print-after-print reliability, and really good part strength make this a quality filament worth picking up. The black color is very black, to the point where taking post-print photos is almost fruitless - everything just turns into a deep black void. Shiny when fresh-printed, but takes well to light sanding to put a matte finish on most surfaces without causing too much material loss. I love this stuff, and am glad that the 1kg spool I picked up is lasting through weeks of constant printing - prototyping is a breeze, with nearly no post-print processing required.
