ABS printed mounts - 250mm radius and ABS printed mounts - 170mm radius are not included and can be purchased separately.  Printed mounts are included in our Kossel 3D Printer Kits.

This kit is compatible with Dave Crocker's version of RepRapFirmware that runs on Duet controllers, Smoothieware that runs on Azteeg X5 Mini controllers, and Rich Cattel's version of Marlin.

    This kit is fantastic. Had all of the parts I needed ready to plug and play. What more could you want? I definitely recommend using the cork spacers/insulators that are provided. They are a greater buffer between the FSRs and a heated bed. The slim stickers I initially used still heated up and messed with the FSR readings.

    I was involved in the long online thread where JohnSL first announced his FSR endstop controller board, and actually pushed the drive to get his code running on the Adafruit Trinket because his boards were not in production yet. After having sourced the Trinket, FSRs, and wiring myself the first time, I gladly grabbed JohnSL's finished board and the awesome kit that Ultibots put together. I am not disappointed! When I ran this setup through three Z-height probes on my new printer build, all three results were identical out to four decimal places! Can't get much better than that.....

    I've installed FSRs on 2 of 3 delta printers now "rolling my own" with the long version of FSR that is popular and JohnSL's board. I really like this short version of the FSR, especially with the connectors pre-installed. The wiring has pre-installed connectors, ready to go. This saves time and having to order parts from multiple sources. Well worth it!

    This is a great kit with top-quality parts. Within 30 minutes I had auto-calibrate up and running, saving me a ton of time.

    Things to keep in mind: adjust the bed clamps so that they grip firmly, but not too tight - you want the FSRs to trigger easily. I do my auto calibration with the bed heated to printing temperature for consistency. Check out braddo99's branch of RichCattell's delta marlin. Not only does it spit out the z height of every tap during auto calibration, it also reports the range between taps for a given point and it will take the median of the tap range if it's taken more than 6 or so taps and no two taps have the same height. This can seriously reduce calibration time. Tap ranges can help you know if your bed clamps are too tight.

    Also, check your Z min triggering via M119 before attempting auto-calibrate. I had to invert mine in marlin to get proper triggering.

    Fixing the rod diameter (D) when running auto calibrate will cut your iterations way down (G30 A0.05 D288.0, for example, 0.05 being the precision in mm). I've been able to converge down to .03mm without issue when fixing D. After calibration, I've found that a negative Z offset of 0.30 - 0.35 is necessary to setup the ideal first layer height (M206 Z-0.35). Be sure to set this to 0 (M206 Z0) before running auto calibrate again.

    When you build a kit you follow the instructions and you check and re-check your work. There are times you need help and Ultibots is there for you. You get a well organized kit. You will not be constantly searching for what do you need next. If you run into an issue you can ask ultibots for the guidance and assistance. The parts fit in like they are supposed to fit.
